Brad Ford’s New York Pad

Interior designer, Brad Ford‘s New York pad is simply stunning. It feels a bit masculine for my taste but his eclectic style with the muted color pallet is something I am starting to gravitate towards.

His styling is a great example of practicality and design where thing look stylish and yet inviting and relaxing. I especially love his inspirational touches of adopting classic modern furniture in urban apartments.

The pottery collection by the window is absolutely gorgeous. While they look great individually, it’s amazing how beautiful they look together. It makes me want to go out and do more pottery hunting. You can check out his interview here.

SCORE + SOLDER Planter

A package from Canada came last Friday bringing some excitement for me to work on over the weekend. What is it you ask? Two beautiful hand made Score + Solder‘s planters!

It was hard for me to capture the true beauty of these planters with my camera. They are so gorgeous in person and carefully hand-crafted with glass and lead free solder. Both suspended teardrop and tetra planters are hanging behind the butterfly chair next to the big window.

The package comes with a kit including hanging chains, rocks, sand, activated charcoal and a quartz crystal in a hemp bag. I used an air-plant for the geometric suspended tetra as of now, but once I get more small cacti, I will re-arrange them.

Even their hemp bag can be of use in decoration where I decided to use it as a planter cover in my studio. They’re a little pricey but are worth every penny.

Craspedia: Billy Balls

One of my readers recently asked me what the yellow flower is in my previous post, so I’d like to share the answer with those who also have a curiousity about these mysterious little flower.

The flower is called  Craspedia aka ”billy buttons” “billy balls” or “woollyheads”. I’m sure you have seen them everywhere including decorating blogs or in magazines but seemingly it is most commonly used as a wedding accessory.

This flower is dried & preserved so that the color will never fade and will last for decades. I really love its poppy vivid golden yellow color. I almost use them everywhere in my house!

If you are planning to purchase Billy Balls in the US, I highly recommend the online store, hammelmans because not a lot of florist carries them and also you can receive over 20 stems (mine was over 30) for only $6.25 (+ shipping fee) with super quick delivery!
