Some great news I came across over the week for all the MCM fans out there. The Eames molded wood side chair I posted about earlier seems to be available to purchase now. It comes with a range of three veneer and base options that will go between $669 to $919.
The Danish design company, Lucie Kaas released a brand new Cathrineholm ceramics collection last year. The Arne Clausen collection is named after the Norwegian artist who designed the lotus pattern for the Cathrineholm company, and has been developed in collaboration with Arne’s family.
The very anticipated Modernica’s sale 2013 is officially set to be on May 18th. ‘This is the 7th time Modernica will be holding the factory sale, with thousands flocking in from all over the country for the opportunity to grab both new and vintage items at rock-bottom prices.’ Don’t forget to mark your calendar!

Wow, time really flies! My apologies for a month of absence. Continuing from the last entry, my bedroom got some small additions that I want to share today. Because of architectural reasons, there is a weird indent on the right side of the corner in my bedroom where I used to put my tomado shelves. I’ve been trying to figure out the best solution to fill this dead corner for a while and I finally discovered functionally and space wise the String shelving system was the perfect choice. It fitted exactly down to the millimeter on that wall and I now have a small office space where I can get things done. (The typewriter is obviously for display purposes.)
The tomado shelf I had before compared to this don’t have much of a visual difference but I can now sit, store Items, and display accessories in this area.
Additionally the brown colored cowhide that I found at IKEA replaced the kilim rug. The color and organic shape works well with the other furniture in the room.
My long journey to search for the perfect bedside lamp was ended up with these George Nelson wall sconces from Modernica. It gives warm and cozy light at night, I love it. Not only are they practical, but they also nicely fill that huge void on that wall.
My cat is definitely not camera shy. He seems to love it whenever I take pictures. Here he is grooming himself.
