I finally got a chance to get the book of my favorite Swedish ceramic artist Lisa Larson. She’s been creating new ceramic work in her daily life for almost 25 years even today at the age of 77.

The book introduces not only just her ceramic works but also her life style with beautiful photos including herself, her house, and her studio in 160 pages!

It’s a great collection of her work in one book and I believe those who aren’t familiar with Lisa Larson will also be inspired.

Mar Azul is a resort near Buenos Aires in Argentina that is populated with a thick forest and different kinds of trees. Since local construction codes prohibits the removal of trees, architects Martín Fernández de Lema and Nicolás F. Moreno Deutsch found an ingenious way of building the house among them. The terrain was also a part of the design where the architects strategically built it two stories to lay harmoniously among nature.

Amsterdam Modern is another MCM furniture store located in a 5,000 square foot warehouse in Van Nuys. Their inventory comes directly from Amsterdam every three or four months. I just got an email from them that their latest container had just arrived with 75 credenzas, etc.

The place only takes appointments, so you may have call ahead of time if you are interested: 818-590-9100. They carry not only just furniture but also lighting and other household goodies with some famous designer names. The white floor lamp on the picture above for example is the original design by Verner Panton for Louis Poulse! I am 100% sure that I won’t be back empty handed.

Found these cute little books on sale at Etsy.  Lots of the work are reminiscent of Charley Harper but are still in good condition even though they are from that time period. If only I had a kid.
