Cushions & Pillows

Pillow cases are the next thing I need to change in my place because the ones I have now are boring. The images here are an example of the styles I’m leaning towards. The top image is from Amenity Alpaca Landscape (price is from $127-$160). The warmth of the earthy natural color palette looks really cozy. They are also 100% alpaca wool colored with eco-friendly dyes.

These pillows are by my favorite textile designer Lauren Saunders which are from her Canyon series. They are actually from her sample sale, so only one of each exists.  The pillows are still being sold for more than half the price of it’s retail value! (Via: Flickr)

These hand-woven rug cushion covers are from the Etsy store, Sukan. Prices varies depending on the materials. Indian/turkish textile seems very in at the moment.

Needless to say, cushions and pillows are important items for decorating. I’ve been looking for a nice patterned cushion for a while but the pattern I liked were too expensive. As a result, I ended up with the conclusion that I will make the pillow case by myself.! After looking through the different fabrics, I found a couple of candidates. Once I receive the fabrics, I show you which ones they are.

Working Space: Desk & Chair

On top of being pretty furniture, the photography and lighting really brings out the beauty in these images. I find these as a great source of inspiration for color palettes and creating a functional working environment. You can see the different personalities each owner set up their areas which in the end comes down to a Mid-century sensibility.

Eames chairs are probably the most common item to be seen in the working area, especially white color goes well with everything.
