I’m in need to update my silverware and if I ever get a chance, I’d love to start here with this steel cutlery. There are so many different designs, but if I had to choose I would probably go for one of these following designs. The picture above is designed by a Japanese product designer Sori Yanagi in 1974.

One of Denmark’s most successful Architect and Designer, Arne Jacobsen created a minimalist cutlery in 1957. It is simple in form and to this day remains striking and modern.

“This cutlery was designed by Henning Koppel, the sculptor, as a tribute to the World Exhibition in New York in 1963 and soon made history as a new departure in design. As early as 1966 the cutlery was awarded the ID prize, the highest accolade for Danish design, for its clear-cut lines where the form itself is the decoration.”
