Bullet Planter

The Bullet planter is a very stylish mid-century modern pot that was named after its conical bowl shape. According to the source, it was manufactured in mid-20th century. The planters reflected the era’s fascination with all things “space age” and “modern.”

I can easily imagine that this will suit any modern apartment or classic ranch homes. I personally believe that simple designs are timeless. If I didn’t already have a planter I would’ve been all over these.  Gonked, Glooked and Slurped are posting a great collection of the bullet planters.

The authentic reproductions are available at hipheaven

Vintage Pyrex: Cinderella Mixing Bowl

I’ve been collecting these vintage Pyrex kitchen glasswares for daily use. They are very durable and the retro design harmonizes with the modern furniture at my place. These first items are the Cinderella mixing bowls. They carry a unique pattern called the “butterprint” with imagery of farmers and other cute icons.

According to my The Unauthorized Collector’s Guide, they were introduced in 1958 and are easily recognizable by the two pour spout handles of different sizes. They were also produced with many other colorful designs such as pink or yellow. I mainly use them to serve salad depending on the size of the party. If you are interested in it, no worries! you can easily find them at either a flea market or on ebay.

Vintage Porcelain Deer

Every time I go to the flea market, these vintage porcelain deers catch my eyes right away. Here are some of my collections. Surprisingly they are always hidden in the corner going for only $3-5!

Even though each porcelain is made from all over the world (One of them is from Japan), the look of the deers don’t stray too far from eachother.
