Royal System Wall Unit Ads

Ardewerk en Zo is a furniture store located in a small village in the northern part of The Netherlands. They specialize in Royal System wall units designed by Poul Cadovius. I was looking at their flickr pages where they have stunning collections and found these cute ads featuring the wall unit.

There was a wall unit from an online ad that seems like it was from this brand because the design and layouts were very similar. Someone already beat me to it, but I’m hoping that they will decline so that I may have a shot at it. I’m going to cross my fingers.

George Nelson: Vintage Photos

I stumbled upon the website “stylepark” and found some great vintage photos of George Nelson’s productions. Above is the Coconut Chair and stool, 1955.

From top: Bubble Lamps, ca. 1952. Comprehensive Storage System, 1959, Swag Leg Group, 1958, Zoo Clocks, 1965. I’m obsessed with everything he makes, his forms are very unique and signature George Nelson.

Tomado Wall-Mounted Modular Bookshelf

I recently updated the layout of my Tomado bookshelf. From the top: Danish candle holder, Lisa Larson’s pottery tabby cats, and five Krenit-bowls (red, green, blue, black and yellow).

Cathrineholm Olive Fondue Pot

My recent ebay score is this olive-colored fondue pot by Cathrineholm. It is part of the lotus family which I posted earlier. The pot unfortunately came without the bottom plate, but I was lucky to find someone who was selling just the plate itself.

Surprisingly it is still in great condition even though it has been used for almost 30-40 years. I am tempted to use it but another side of me is telling me that I should try to keep it in good condition.

Prisma: Mid-Century Furniture Store in Tokyo

Prisma is one of the mid-century furniture stores located in Tokyo. I stumbled upon their website when I was researching for a George Nelson CSS the other day.

The website showcases their high quality vintage selections from both Europe and US with designers such as Paul McCobb, Edward Wormley, Richard Stein, and etc. There are many mid-century lovers in Japan, so I would love to see how they decorate their homes with these furniture. If you have any pictures you would like to share, feel free to send it over.
