Dieter Rams “Less And More” Exhibition @ Design Museum

One of my favorite museum, Design Museum in London is having a retrospective exhibition of Dieter Rams until March 14th 2010. He is a well-known former head of design at the German electronics brand Braun for 40 years.

The exhibition presents a collection of his amazing works including both product designs for Braun and furniture design for Vitsoe from 1955 til 1995.

The picture above is the shelving system that Rams designed in 1960 called: 606 Universal Shelving System. You can also see photos of the SK 6 phonograph and radio for Braun here.

Danish Furniture Store: Suq Sapporo

SUQ is an antique furniture store that is located in Sapporo city, Hokkaido in Japan. I’ve never been there, but it seems like they have amazing danish collections.

The container comes from Denmark every three month or so. I’d love to visit the store someday in the future.

Hans J Wegner Daybed Sofa @ Craigslist

I found this Hans J Wegner’s danish sofa on Craigslist through Apartment Therapy today. It says ‘Oak with light earthy tweed original upholstery. Back panel in painted gray finish. The backrest lifts up and converts to a very comfortable twin sized bed. Overall dimensions are 77″ x 34.5″ x 30.5″. Very good condition. 9 out of 10. The base disassembles from the body for easy transport. You pick up. $1250 obo ea.” It sounds very tempting, I wish I have extra space at my house. If you are looking for a sofa, I suggest you hurry!
