It is loaded with vintage furniture, house tours, fashion shows, and a film series. This is a great opportunity to see different mid century furniture all in one place!

Small Dot Pattern Pillow by Eames

I recently purchased a pair of pillows that were designed by Charles and Ray Eames. It was designed at a competition for printed textiles at the museum of modern art in 1947. The pattern became very iconic and timeless. I think the pillows are a great contrast to my sofa (minus the cat hair). Different patterns were available but we thought this one best suit our home.

These patterns called “Circles” was actually never made during Charles and Ray Eames’ lifetime as they were discovered later in their sketchbook. It was later realized by the Eames office and Maharam, a textile company. Based on the original concepts, they tried to keep it true to what Charles and Ray Eames had in mind.

They are available on circa50 & nestliving

Little Vintage Collections

This is my little vintage & junk collection. The wooden shelf used to be a thread organizer that I picked up at a flea market for only $3.

From the top of the shelf: diorama display kit ‘birds at home’ from small stump.

Top row (left to right): tin cat toy from schylling penny toy, wire bird from my friend, A matryoshka doll in 70′s and salt & pepper shaker from the flea market.

Second row: vintage porcelain mushroom, mushroom candle and apple, black welcoming cat, another matryoshka doll and vintage message cards.

Third row: vintage porcelain cats that I bought from a lovely old lady at the Pasadena flea market and another mushroom.
