West Germany: Scheurich Vases

My recent score are these two matching vases made by Scheurich in West Germany. Scheurich was a well-known company that was one of the largest producers of West German Ceramics since the 1950′s. They produced a huge variety of shapes, sizes, and colors.

Although the strong color and fat lava glaze are their dominant character, I personally prefer this simple design that somehow matches with my Lisa Larson’s kitties!

Vintage By Color

Swedish freelance photographer, HILDA GRAHNAT has a great sense of colors with vintage objects that she’s been collecting. I find it cute how she color coordinate these groups of objects to match.

She has an online store where you can check out as well. I want to see more color themes.

Herman Miller Graphics

With a dream team of the most amazing designers that includes: George Nelson, John Massey, Charles and Ray Eames, Tomoko Miho, Steve Frykholm, and Donald Gwaltney, Herman Miller is very successful with it’s contemporary designs. These are graphic designs made in the 30′s to the 70′s. The logo was designed y George Nelson in 1947.

These are all of the Herman Miller items that I found from this flickr pool.

This image is also from flickr, vintage herman miller brochures that is designed by Irving Harper in the 60′s. It is as beautiful as their furniture.
