<p>I&#8217;ve always been looking for a mid-century modern style chess set for either playing or displaying. I can see this minimal designed set sitting on my coffee table. I&#8217;m not a pro at chess by any means but I do enjoy playing. This modernist styled extruded aluminum chess set was designed by Austin E Cox for Austin Enterprises and manufactured by the Alcoa Aluminum Company.</p>

<p>There was a wall unit from an online ad that seems like it was from this brand because the design and layouts were very similar. Someone already beat me to it, but I&#8217;m hoping that they will decline so that I may have a shot at it. I&#8217;m going to cross my fingers.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.davidkleinart.com/Home.html" target="_blank">David Klein</a> is an American illustrator best known for his numerous posters for <a title="Howard  Hughes" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howard_Hughes">Howard Hughes</a> and <a title="Trans  World Airlines" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trans_World_Airlines">Trans World Airlines</a> (TWA) during the 1950s and  1960s.</p>

<p>One of his well known piece, the TWA poster that is advertising in New York’s Time Square (above) is a part of  MOMA&#8217;s permanent collections.<a href="http://www.allposters.com/-st/David-Klein-Posters_c100836_.htm" target="_blank"> All Posters</a> has a few of his art works including this one which is on sale.
