Unfortunately they only carry five animals that are shown on the second image. I like the idea that they would bring the classic designs to the modern age in form of a keychain. Since I&#8217;m a cat person, that&#8217;s the one I&#8217;m eyeing.</p>

<p>I&#8217;d like to introduce one of my favorite cat items that I own. This delightful acrylic cat is sculptured by Brazilian artist <span style="color: #888888;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><a title="Abraham Palatnik bio at olats.org" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/www.olats.org/pionniers/pp/palatnik/morais_en.php');" href="http://www.olats.org/pionniers/pp/palatnik/morais_en.php" target="_blank">Abraham Palatnik</a></span></span>. He created many animals with this interesting technique where he has pattern embedded inside the acrylic form making it visible from both sides. The one I have (pictured above) is surprisingly tiny (only 4 inches tall)!!</p>
<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-1294" href="http://modernfindings.com/archives/1286/abraham_palatnik_2"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1294" title="abraham_palatnik_2" src="http://modernfindings.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/abraham_palatnik_2.jpg" alt="abraham_palatnik_2" width="420" height="245" /></a></p>
<p>His pieces have become extremely popular in the past few years as interior decorators such as Jonathan Adler showcase his resin sculptures in the homes they design. I especially love this beautiful abstract patterns with funny faces.</p>

<p>Being a huge fan of <a href="http://modernica.net/index.php?target=products&amp;product_id=40" target="_blank">Modernica</a>, I was excited about their annual sale this past July. At the sale, I was specifically looking for this Case Study Ceramic Cylinder Planter. As soon as I entered the huge warehouse, I ran straight to it! The wooden support legs makes this simple planter a lot more playful. It&#8217;s a great accent in the dead corner of my living room.</p>
<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-499" href="http://modernfindings.com/archives/496/modernca"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-499" title="modernca" src="http://modernfindings.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/modernca.jpg" alt="modernca" width="420" height="272" /></a><br />
It&#8217;s originally $149.00 but I got it for half price at $75. It was a great deal and suited my place perfectly. I can&#8217;t wait for their next sale. The planter comes in two sizes and two colors. You can also take a look at all the craze here : <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Thjw1Jll8Eg" target="_blank">Youtube</a></p>
