Now Lisa Larson‘s famous animals can fit in your pockets! Unica Home is selling these adorable keychains on their website. Unfortunately they only carry five animals that are shown on the second image. I like the idea that they would bring the classic designs to the modern age in form of a keychain. Since I’m a cat person, that’s the one I’m eyeing.

I recently updated the layout of my Tomado bookshelf. From the top: Danish candle holder, Lisa Larson’s pottery tabby cats, and five Krenit-bowls (red, green, blue, black and yellow).

I’d like to introduce one of my favorite cat items that I own. This delightful acrylic cat is sculptured by Brazilian artist Abraham Palatnik. He created many animals with this interesting technique where he has pattern embedded inside the acrylic form making it visible from both sides. The one I have (pictured above) is surprisingly tiny (only 4 inches tall)!!

His pieces have become extremely popular in the past few years as interior decorators such as Jonathan Adler showcase his resin sculptures in the homes they design. I especially love this beautiful abstract patterns with funny faces.

Being a huge fan of Modernica, I was excited about their annual sale this past July. At the sale, I was specifically looking for this Case Study Ceramic Cylinder Planter. As soon as I entered the huge warehouse, I ran straight to it! The wooden support legs makes this simple planter a lot more playful. It’s a great accent in the dead corner of my living room.

It’s originally $149.00 but I got it for half price at $75. It was a great deal and suited my place perfectly. I can’t wait for their next sale. The planter comes in two sizes and two colors. You can also take a look at all the craze here : Youtube

Moderncat is one of my favorite blog. It’s a great resource for cat owners with a modern style. They introduce not only new products or ideas for living with cats in a modern home, but also report real drama happening in the US where a lot of cats are abandoned everyday.
