The Carlton Ware: Vintage Ceramic Cat Bank

My recent score on ebay is this Calrton Ware vintage ceramic cat bank which I was inspired from one of my favorite blog fatcat.

She has an amazing collection as shown in the picture above. They are made by the British ceramic company called the Carlton Ware. “The Carlton Ware company is best remembered for its often rather garish tableware, often in the form of highly decorated leaves or fruit, and the ceramic toucans it made as promotional items for Guinness. It reached its artistic high-point with superb hand-painted domestic pottery in high art deco styles during the 1920s and 1930.”

I love the poppy psychedelic styled patterns & colors. It would be nice if I can also get these black salt & pepper porcelain cats on my shelf but unfortunately they are hard to find here since they are made in England. Thank you “Fatcat” for the great inspirations. :)

Lisa Larson: Animal Keychain

Now Lisa Larson‘s famous animals can fit in your pockets! Unica Home is selling these adorable keychains on their website. Unfortunately they only carry five animals that are shown on the second image. I like the idea that they would bring the classic designs to the modern age in form of a keychain. Since I’m a cat person, that’s the one I’m eyeing.

Tomado Wall-Mounted Modular Bookshelf

I recently updated the layout of my Tomado bookshelf. From the top: Danish candle holder, Lisa Larson’s pottery tabby cats, and five Krenit-bowls (red, green, blue, black and yellow).
