Vintage Home is a nice mid-century book that effectively fuse together the modern and shabby chic aesthetic.

Each page are filled with great ideas for those who needs ideas for their home.

A nice coffee table book showcasing the works of Charles and Ray Eames.

I recently received the latest Atomic Ranch magazine for fall 2009.

Overall great issues with lots of ideas for your home.

This is a great book for those interested in the history of midcentury architecture. It has loads of informations as well as beautiful photos.

“The Case Study House program (1945–1966) was an exceptional, innovative event in the history of American architecture and remains to this day unique. The program, which concentrated on the Los Angeles area and oversaw the design of 36 prototype homes, sought to make available plans for modern residences that could be easily and cheaply constructed during the postwar building boom. Highly experimental, the program generated houses that were designed to redefine the modern home, and thus had a pronounced influence on architecture—American and international—both during the program’s existence and even to this day. This compact guide includes all projects featured in our XL version, with over 150 photos and plans and a map of where all houses are (or were) located.”

On top of giving us the opportunity to own the George Nelson steel frame sofa, Le Boeuf generously gave us this gift. Since the book contain many pictures of the sofa, they thought it would be great for our reference.

The book contains a great overview of the history of Herman Miller featuring classic furniture designers, Eames, George Nelson, Isamu Noguchi and Paul Laszlo. (they are mostly black and white pictures, but it still looks ageless and stunning.)

The black and white picture on the bottom is the same George Nelson steel frame sofa we got. Again, thank you Le Boeuf!
