Lawrence’s Home Makeover

Lawrence, who is a friend of mine recently was featured on Modernica’s blog for his amazing home makeover. As you can see, he did a magnificent job and I’d like to share his tasteful renovation photos here as well.

From the ceiling to the kitchen sink, everything in the house has been carefully planned and turned out stunning. I love his selection of furniture and how well everything works together.  The amount of work and the eye for the little details is something to appreciate. This is a great example of a condo renovation and is definitely set to inspire.

P.S. Thank you Lawrence for sharing your hi-res images! More details here.

Office Inspiration

Since moving into my new place, I’ve been holding a really long to-do list. My second bedroom is being used for studio space so building custom furniture there is one of the top priorities since I currently have nowhere to sit. The room is the perfect size for two computers sitting side by side but has less space for the storage. Because of this I’ve gathered some inspiration that can help me solve this problem.

A long table that goes from wall to wall is a must for the space.

It is clear that adding a shelf or cabinet above the desk saves a lot of space. I am going to have a consultation with my handyman this weekend to see what he suggests. I’ll follow up with some before and after photos.

Michel Penneman: Interior Designer

I found Belgian interior designer Michel Penneman‘s website that has many inspiring images. I love how he can make Mid-Century furniture work in almost any kind of place. The use of poppy colors in contrast with the muted environment are nicely done.

You can see more of his work here! Have a wonderful weekend!
