Ines Colmorgen + André Wyst’s House: Freunde von Freunden

I discovered an amazing website called Freunde von Freunden which operates quite similar to The Selby but in German. It’s full of beautiful photos of homes and working spaces including interviews. The location is primarily based in Berlin.

One of the homes that caught my attention was this amazing apartment that belongs to Ines Colmorgen + André Wyst. I can’t read German but according to the Google translation, it seems like André works as an art director for a magazine and Ines owns a shop for kid’s clothing. I highly recommend checking out their site to see more pictures!

Hang-It-All: Limited Edition

One of the classic Mid-century icon, “Hang-It-All” is now introduced with a new limited edition color sporting a black frame and solid walnut balls. It is to be released by Herman Miller this August. The wall hanger will only be in production for only a few months, ending in early 2011.

For those people who think that the original model is too colorful and poppy, this one is definitely more universal for people who prefer a more limited color palette in their room.

Go Round or Rectangle

I’m planning to have a small update in my living room area, which makes it the time to say goodbye to my IKEA Saarinen replica round table. I’m a little loss as to which table would go better with my blue Eames Eiffel chairs so I did some research:

These are some results for the round table with the Eames chairs from Apartment Therapy, Design Sponge and key loves vintage. It seems like the white table is still the most popular.

These are the rectangular tables. If it is rectangle, maybe the wooden long tables will go better with the chairs but I will need more room for them. Let me know if you have any suggestions!

Finn Juhl: Poeten Sofa

Danish designer, Finn Juhl designed this gorgeous and unique sofa called Poeten for his own home in 1941. It is truly an art piece and was inspired by ‘free art’. I assume that the chair has a tall design because Finn Juhl might’ve been a tall person.

Price is approx $11,000 depending on upholstery choice. You can see the price range here.
