Dieter Rams “Less And More” Exhibition @ Design Museum

One of my favorite museum, Design Museum in London is having a retrospective exhibition of Dieter Rams until March 14th 2010. He is a well-known former head of design at the German electronics brand Braun for 40 years.

The exhibition presents a collection of his amazing works including both product designs for Braun and furniture design for Vitsoe from 1955 til 1995.

The picture above is the shelving system that Rams designed in 1960 called: 606 Universal Shelving System. You can also see photos of the SK 6 phonograph and radio for Braun here.

Eames Paper & Small DIY

As I said in my previous post about the Eames Paper sample book, I decided to frame some of my favorite pages to display on the Eames case study bookshelf. You can literally frame every page from this collection but these were the ones I thought would be nice to display.

This iconic image is gold foiled on a fabric textured blue paper. I love the color palette and the little bird.

Matthew Lyons

Found a brilliant website that showcase the works of Matthew Lyons. I love the color palette and the way he plays with textures and composition with the Mid-Century aesthetic. The scary thing is that he is still only 21 and is at his final year of school.
