SCORE + SOLDER Planter

A package from Canada came last Friday bringing some excitement for me to work on over the weekend. What is it you ask? Two beautiful hand made Score + Solder‘s planters!

It was hard for me to capture the true beauty of these planters with my camera. They are so gorgeous in person and carefully hand-crafted with glass and lead free solder. Both suspended teardrop and tetra planters are hanging behind the butterfly chair next to the big window.

The package comes with a kit including hanging chains, rocks, sand, activated charcoal and a quartz crystal in a hemp bag. I used an air-plant for the geometric suspended tetra as of now, but once I get more small cacti, I will re-arrange them.

Even their hemp bag can be of use in decoration where I decided to use it as a planter cover in my studio. They’re a little pricey but are worth every penny.

Sculptural Wire Table

Pouf or a small side table? I’ve been searching for a complimentary furniture for the butterfly chair in my bedroom. I knew I want something round but I also needed a table. I was considering getting a pouf to function as an ottoman but I thought it would get too cluttered.  Luckily I found something that has the same proportions as a pouf but is actually a table. It is made from iron matching with the butterfly chair’s iron cast, something in black but not overtaking the space. Getting outbid on ebay on Franco Albini’s rattan ottoman’s auction was a blessing in disguise because it lead me to this table from Create and barrel.

The sculptural metallic drum table is called “Aerie accent table” and is available in 3 different sizes. The wires are well tightened and very sturdy. ”Antiqued bronze iron wire is handwoven in a precise spiral around a steel frame to form geometric spokes radiating from the top. Conversational side table, additional seating option or cluster several together as a coffee table.” Another thing off my checklist!

Around the House

I’ve been constantly changing and updating the look around the house. The mini wire table is from Modernica’s sale some time ago. This table is a perfect solution to fill a small space or as I did before, use it as a stand for a planter.

A porcelain glove mold is a bit weird as a home decor but adds some character to the house. The one I have is a vintage German model, it’s shaped almost like a dimensional graphical symbol. I also planted a lotus cactus into the geometric planter that was just introduced at design sponge. Two blue mid century inspired vases are West elm‘s current new vase collection. The contrast of blue glaze and wood furniture never fails for me.

Dracaenas are great indoor plants that requires mid-low light, so I replaced my Philodendron martianum with this tall dracaena since that area of my home has the least sunlight. I purchased it in my neighborhood nursery here.

No matter what I have, no decor can beat my cats, tabby & pazu. They follow me wherever I go in the house and bring me absolute joy.
