A little while back, I have posted the entry “office inspiration“. After three months, I turned my second bedroom into a working space which is now about 90% done so I guess it’s about time to reveal part of the area. The hardest thing for me was to figure out to make the most of the space which contained no storage. The desk shown above is custom built and expands from each wall to have enough room for two chairs. (Because of my lens, only one side was captured, but the right side is pretty symmetrical with an identical set of imac and eames green chair). Above the desk, 5 Ikea cabinets were installed and gave so much storage space in the open area. The best part was that it ended up being wallet-friendly. The side cabinets are Bisley from the container store which are study and very well made to organize documents and little things.

The Case study bookshelf can amazingly carry so many books of my husband and mine. I place an orange rocking chair from Modernica where my cats absolutely love to recline on.

I framed the Herman Miller’s big sized vintage poster in white. This poster was printed in 1971 but the design still feels timeless to this day.

Unfortunately I don’t have a image to show the whole room to compare with “before” photo, but once it’s 100% done, I will post it here again with a wider shot.

Nicely done! What kind of clock is that?
@Alan: Thanks for your comment. The flip clock is called “Karlsson Calendar Clock Big Flip”.
Hi! Love your studio space! Where did you find the chair? I’ve been scouring the internet but cannot find that green anywhere! Thanks!
@Danielle: Thanks for your comment. I bought my chair from Yliving(http://www.yliving.com), either Yliving or herman miller website carries this apple green or more color choices.
