The Tower of the Four Winds was a beautiful structure designed by Walt Disney Imagineer Rolly Crump. It stood 120 feet tall and used to be positioned in front of “It’s a Small World” in Disneyland. As you can see in the picture below, the original design was much more thin. It was probably built thicker for more support and to be wind proof. I wish Disney would’ve kept these beautiful designs in their park.

I agree that the Tower was a beautiful structure; however, it was not created for Disneyland. It was created for the “it’s a small world” attraction sponsored by Pepsi Cola for UNICEF at the 1964 New York World’s Fair. The pavilion was designed and constructed in only a couple months and no consideration for relocating the Tower was made. At the end of the fair it as determined that dismantling the structure and moving it to Disneyland was impractical. Unfortunately it was demolished.
